La Carte is a small farming hamlet some
3km from Vasles with amenities for day-to-day needs, including a supermarket,
boulangerie, bank with ATM machine, restaurant and bars and a petrol
station on the outskirts of the village on the D6 (Poitiers road).
Larger towns are Parthenay (19km) and Poitiers (27km) with its airport
which is easily accessible and has flights from London Stansted.

only 15 minutes away - one of France's most beautiful golf courses

Futuroscope (Poitiers), to the peaceful canals and ancient waterways of
La Venise Verte and the interesting towns of Cognac and Limoges to the

Futuroscope can be found 30 minutes away just north of Poitiers and the
interesting Roman town of Parthenay is only 20 minutes drive. Both
of these towns have extensive shopping facilities and superstores on
their outskirts.
An easy drive takes you to the unique
canal system of the Marais Poitevin at Coulon near Niort.
The wine growing
regions of the Loire and Bordeaux are also easily accessible. |
